Terms of Service
1. Who we are
MailBrief is operated by Jonathan van der Griend (sole proprietorship), based in Canada. You can reach us at hello@mailbrief.ai.
2. What we do
MailBrief reads your connected email inbox (Gmail or Outlook) on a schedule you control and sends you a summarized "brief" email twice a day. The connection is read-only. We never send mail from your account.
3. Account and billing
MailBrief is $12 USD per month. New accounts get a 7-day free trial; you are not charged until the trial ends. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard, before the trial ends, to avoid being charged. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
4. Acceptable use
You may connect only inboxes you have the legal right to access. Don't use MailBrief to process other people's email without their permission, and don't use it to do anything illegal.
5. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard, which disconnects your inbox and removes your data within 30 days. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, or that abuse the service in a way that materially affects our cost (e.g., connecting unusually high-volume inboxes solely to extract data).
6. No warranty
MailBrief uses AI to categorize and summarize email. Categorization is helpful but not perfect — the brief is a skim aid, not a replacement for reading your inbox. We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for anything related to MailBrief is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to your account address. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
